Where: Hap Ryder Riverfront Theater, 1852 2nd Avenue
Show Dates: Will run for three weekends. Dates are February 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, and March 1.
Plan to read sides from the play. The characters:
Lenny: The oldest sister, who is unmarried and facing the prospect of a lonely future.
Meg: The middle sister, who returns home after a failed singing career on the West Coast.
Babe: The youngest sister, who is out on bail after shooting her husband.
Other characters: The play also features their priggish cousin Chick and an awkward young lawyer who is trying to help Babe while also falling for her,
Set in small-town Mississippi, the play follows the eccentric and big-hearted Magrath sisters as they reunite under a swirl of scandal, family chaos, and long-buried secrets. With sharp humor and heartbreaking honesty, Crimes of the Heart explores sisterhood, survival, and the complicated ways we hold each other together.
